Rosa Mari Darbra PhD. Full Professor at the Chemical Engineering Department of the UPC with a PhD in Environmental Sciences (2005). Her main field of research is environmental management and risk assessment applied to several areas such as sea-ports, chemical industry, or river-basins. She is accredited by Lloyd’s register as an environmental auditor. She has worked in 17 international projects (11 EU-funded projects) and 11 national ones, being awarded for her outstanding contribution at the ECOPORTS project (2005). R.M. has worked in different EU countries as well as in Australia as a postdoc researcher, lecturer and project manager. Concerning her scientific production, she has published more than 50 papers in international journals,
contributed to more than 60 international congresses and written more than 20 book chapters. + info

Marti Puig PhD. Lecturer at the Chemical Engineering Department of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), teaching the subject Environmental Technology and Sustainability in the Industrial Engineering degree. Dr Puig is graduated in Chemical Engineering at the UPC (2010), holds a PhD in port environmental management (2016) from the same University, and a research Master (MPhil) at the Earth Sciences Department of Cardiff University (2012). Marti has published 12 scientific articles related to port environmental management, 2 book chapters, presented contributions in more than 15 international conferences and worked as a research associate in several European research projects. Dr Puig worked also as a senior environmental consultant, being responsible for undertaking Environmental Risk Analysis (ARMAs), Environmental Impact Studies (EsIA) and environmental and legal audits. In the last years, he has performed more than 150 ARMAs for chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, gas, and waste management sectors.

Sahar Azarkamand had a PhD (2013) and an MSc (2006) in Environmental management. She got her second PhD in sustainability in 2021, at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Barcelona Tech – UPC) and her thesis is entitled “Development of a standardized tool to Calculate Carbon Footprint in Ports”. Her main research fields are Environmental Impact Assessment, Life Cycle Assessment, Green Supply Chain Management and Carbon footprint. She has more than 10 years of experience in environmental-related issues. Now she is a postdoctoral researcher at the UNESCO Chair in Life Cycle and Climate Change-ESCI-UPF.). + info

Adriane Marques Pimenta holds a bachelor degree in Oceanography and a Master's in Ecology of Continental Aquatic Environments from the Federal University of Rio Grande, Brazil. Her expertise spans 11 years in environmental management focusing on ecological aspects and modernization of highways. It also includes monitoring and studies related to the planning and and operations of hydroelectric power plants. Adriane currently pursues a Ph.D. at the Institute of Geosciences of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG-BRAZIL) where she is actively involved in the Transportation Research & Environmental Modeling lab. Adriane's diverse experiences in environmental management and research make her a vaIuable asset to both academic and practical aspects on environmental aspects of transportation planning. She is an exchange researcher at the Chemical Engineering Department of the UPC, supported by the Brazilian Science foundation CAPES to investigate environmental indexes for seaports. This experience is likely to enrich her academic journey and contribute to her research endeavors. + info

Rosember Ramírez. Environmental Engineer, with a master's degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Barcelona, Currently, he is a doctorate Student in environmental risk assessment at the Sustainability program of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. He has 4 years of experience in environmental issues (water resources, solid waste, climate change) through consulting, advice, participation and information gathering in competitive and innovative projects. Similarly, he has 3 years of experience of teaching and training processes in youth and adults through the development of courses and workshops at the Chocó University (Colombia). Finally, he has also been one year supporting international projects with the UNESCO Chair related to Sustainability. + info

Guillem Ferré. Industrial Technology Engineering Bachelor Degree and Master Degree. Nuclear engineering student at the UPC.
